NOTES

  1. Equity control basis
  2. Parex incorporates the areas of ecological importance or of special categories for all its projects through the zoning in the environmental studies, which have restricted categories that prevent the development of activities. As a result, it can be ensured that Parex’s present, past or future activities are not developed in areas of important biodiversity classified according to the International Union for Conservation, areas declared as world heritage by UNESCO, or park areas or special exclusion categories defined by Colombian legislation.
  3. Percentages of reserves in or near areas with protected conservation status, in conflict and in indigenous land are included for 2P reserves (proved plus probable). In 2021, the percentages of reserves in or near conflict areas and indigenous reservations increased due to the inclusion of new blocks
  4. The estimation of GHG emissions embedded in reserves was made based on CO2 emission factors, density and caloric values of the FECOC (2016) (Colombian fuel emission factors). The emission factors for methane and nitrous oxide were taken from the IPCC (2006) for each type of fuel (gasoline, diesel and jet fuel).
  5. The Company has policies, including the Anti-corruption and Anti-bribery policy, in place to prevent any form of corruption or bribery, which include the enforcement of policies against giving or accepting money or gifts and an annual certification from all employees confirming that they received and understood the Company’s anticorruption policies.
